Work program for second phase
Work in phase 2 will ‘flip’ our objectives from phase 1 to achieve real-world outcomes for more sustainable population health. The campus will keep the effective overarching structure of research clusters and cross-cutting integrative themes. The research clusters in phase 1 represented relevant issues guiding exploratory and formative research – the research clusters in phase 2 will target the application and implementation of digital public health knowledge.
The three phase 2 research clusters and the cross-cutting integrative themes reflect the core expertise in the LSC DiPH. All research cluster will work with joint infrastructures notably the new online digital health research panel that we will establish in phase 2 by recruiting about 1000 adult residents of Bremen and surrounding areas to take part in repeat online questionnaire studies. Research cluster 1 addresses the digital divide. Research cluster 2 applies and evaluates DiPH with respect to specific questions of primary and secondary prevention. Research cluster 3 investigates critical aspects of human-digital interaction. Ten working groups within the clusters will conduct topical research, supported by the LSC DiPH infrastructure and personnel. The integrative themes “Theories and Frameworks”. See more under Research.
