funded by the Leibniz Association, the Federal State of Bremen and the Leibniz- Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology -BIPS GmbH
How can digital technologies be integrated into health research, prevention, health promotion and other public health tasks effectively, fairly and in accordance with the principles of human dignity? This is the core question of the Leibniz ScienceCampus Digital Public Health Bremen (LSC DiPH). The LSC DiPH is a highly interdisciplinary research cooperation between the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology - BIPS, the University of Bremen, the Fraunhofer MEVIS, the University of Oldenburg and the OFFIS computer science institute. The LSC DiPH is now entering its second funding phase (www.digital-public-health.de/). Based on the results of the first phase, the aim is now to investigate concrete application scenarios of digital public health in the three research clusters "Digital Divide and Health Equity" (RC1), "Digitalization in Primary and Secondary Prevention" (RC2) and "Human-Digital Interactions in DiPH" (RC3) in an interdisciplinary manner.
To join us in this endeavor, we invite applications for a

Salary grade 13 TV-L part time (65%) to be filled for an initial period of 3 years.

This PhD position in the Research Cluster RC1 will investigate the extent to which relevant aspects of digital health information, such as misinformation in social media, protection and security of personal data, but also use and acceptance, are socially unequally distributed and which measures could be suitable to reduce such inequalities.
